On Wednesday, the Brooklyn Nets traded for James Harden in a blockbuster deal that shocked the entire basketball community. This was a four team deal involving the Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Everyone knew that Harden was going to get traded at some point. However, it seemed as if the Philadelphia 76ers were his top destination, which is why going to Brooklyn has everyone in shock. He’s been wanting a trade from Houston the past few months, and this week he made that especially clear.

“We’re just not good enough,” Harden said. “I mean, this situation is crazy. It’s something that I don’t think can be fixed.”

It’s clear that Harden’s disappointment stems from the Rockets not winning. To him, the team is just not strong enough to get to the NBA Finals. With him joining Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, it seems like this could be the best superteam since the Golden State Warriors a few years ago with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and ironically Durant. Now Harden finally has what he wants, a team that’s good enough to win a championship.

It now looks like the Nets are clear favorites to go to the Finals, not just this year, but for years to come. Now that Harden has this great environment, hopefully he can drop a little bit of his ego and understand that he has two other great players on the same level as him. It may take a bit of time for these three superstars to get used to playing together. However, once they do, everyone else in the league should be scared out of their minds.

Breaking down the full trade: Rockets receive Victor Oladipo, Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, 3 Brooklyn first-rounders (22, 24, 26), 1 Milwaukee first (22, unprotected), 4 Brooklyn 1st round swaps (21, 23, 25, 27). Nets receive James Harden. Pacers receive Caris LeVert, 2nd-rounder. Cavaliers receive Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince.
